- Open daily from 9am to 4pm. The attraction is conveniently located in the Kuranda Heritage Markets on Rob Veivers Drive, Kuranda. Kuranda is approximately 30 minutes from Cairns and 1 hour from Port Douglas. Drive yourself, hire a car or take a FREE Shuttle Bus from the Skyrail & Kuranda Railway Station every 15 minutes between 10am and 3pm daily
Australian Butterfly Sanctuary
- Open daily from 9.45am to 4pm. Australian Butterfly Sanctuary is situated at 8 Rob Veivers Drive in the heart of Kuranda Village, half an hour from Cairns. There is a FREE shuttle bus to Kuranda Heritage Markets and all attractions, departing from the Skyrail & Kuranda Railway Station every 15 minutes between 10am and 3pm daily

I booked ‘Kuranda 3 Attraction Package’ online from Experience Oz for 2 families with very good price and easy booking. Our kids love the place so much, especially Kuranda Koala Gardens and Birdworld where they can feed and touch the animals. We enjoy our tour and have amazing photos and memories.
This is a must do when in Cairns!! The shuttle bus was prompt with pick up time and a short drive north of Cairns saw us arrive at Hartley's Crocodile Farm after travelling along some picturesque coastline. Aside from crocodiles, there were other Australian animals on show, with the opportunity to have your photo taken with them for extra cost. There was a tour of the working crocodile farm starting as we arrived. The boat cruise on the lagoon and the Croc Attack Show should not be missed, both highlighting the hunting techniques of crocodiles. This half day tour is ideal for everyone. I would have actually liked to have spent the whole day at Hartley's.
